Program

Appreciative Inquiry has been around for over 3 decades. It has a sound basis for use in organizations. We've all read exemplary applications of this tool. The issue is why aren't more of us using AI to improve organizations...or teams...or individuals? This presentation will focus on 3 data collection tools that OD practitioners could use and apply in an AI intervention. The discussion will address the ying and the yang of what the data reveals and why OD practitioners seem to favor the ying. Discussion will also address how OD practitioners might approach using the yang instead of the ying.

Directions

From I-95 or Florida's Turnpike (North or South)
Take I-595 exit, westbound; proceed on I-595 to University Drive exit; proceed south past SW 30th Street/Abe Fischler Boulevard, to the shopping center immediately south of NSU's Health Professions Division on the left (east) side of the road. The shopping center has a 'Pier One Imports' store near the entrance. Turn left into this shopping center; the NSU facility is in the northeast corner. The Center for Continuing and Professional Studies is located in the SE corner of the plaza.

Look what you missed in May!

Presenter: Cesar Aguirre GPHR, President, Human Assets Group, presented on the topic Precision Questioning and Anwering (PQ&A). PQ&A is a technique developed by Dennis Matthies of Stanford University and is used in Leadership Development. PQ&A is widely used at Microsoft worldwide, as well as many other successful organizations like Oracle, Cypress Semiconductors.

How PQ&A is used?
Precision Questioning & Answering (PQ+A) is a set of tools that allows people to:

  • Improve the efficiency of meetings
  • Make better decisions
  • Solve problems faster
  • Set better milestones
  • Improve credibility with senior management

Cesar shared the PQ&A concepts with us. He also offers a mini version of the workshop to introduce PQ&A as a tool to improve communication in organizations. For more information, contact: Cesar Aguirre <cesar@HumanAssetsGroup.com>
